Jamaal Glenn Selected as a Marshall Memorial Fellow

Visual for Jamaal Glenn Selected as a Marshall Memorial Fellow

The Marshall Memorial Fellowship is GMF's flagship leadership development program. It brings emerging leaders from business, government, and civil society into a six-month learning process and 24 days of firsthand travel designed to deepen transatlantic understanding and cooperation.

For Glenn, the fellowship created a structured way to compare political, economic, and social systems across the United States and Europe. He has written that Russia's invasion of Ukraine made the transatlantic relationship newly urgent and made the fellowship an unusually well-timed opportunity to build relationships with rising European leaders.

“These opportunities have been incredibly rewarding for me throughout my career, and MMF felt like an even higher caliber, more fully immersive opportunity to learn and travel.”

Glenn later joined the program's immersive travel through Washington, London, Bratislava, Belgrade, and Brussels. The experience extended his work across finance, technology, investing, education, and international exchange, while connecting him to GMF's network of more than 2,500 alumni.
