WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Obama Foundation selected Jamaal Glenn as a 2025-2026 USA Leader, recognizing his work across impact investing, technology, philanthropy, and access to capital.
Glenn is the founder and CEO of JG Holdings, an impact investment firm that works with philanthropies and investors to make for-profit investments aimed at social problems. Through that work, he backs entrepreneurs at their earliest stages and focuses on innovations that expand access and opportunity.
The selection brings Glenn into a national cohort of leaders working in different sectors and communities across the United States. Participants join a wider Obama Foundation network built around values-based leadership, practical problem-solving, and collaboration across traditional boundaries.
Glenn's career has moved between finance, venture capital, technology, education, and board service. Across those roles, his work centers on a common question: how institutions decide who receives capital and which ideas get the chance to grow.
As part of the program, Glenn joined President Obama and other Foundation leaders for a conversation about service, leadership, coalition building, and strengthening democracy in a polarized climate.
