WASHINGTON, D.C. - Jamaal Glenn, chief financial officer of SoLo Funds and founder of JG Holdings, joins fellow directors at the Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence's Cyber Awareness Month Board Member Exchange, an invite-only roundtable on how boards oversee cyber and AI risk.
The roundtable, "Governance at the Speed of Change: Cybersecurity, AI, and the Board's Oversight Challenge," is hosted by the Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence at Latham & Watkins in Washington, D.C. It brings board members together for a closed discussion over lunch on how boards can move from reactive oversight toward a more dynamic and resilient governance model. Topics include visibility into material exposure, clear risk appetite and escalation thresholds, and stronger alignment between boards and management, so companies can pursue innovation while keeping resilience.
"I was thrilled to join this group of esteemed directors who are forward thinking about AI and cyber. I can't stress enough the importance of individual board members robustly experimenting with AI personally and professionally in order to develop some base level intuition, which is the price of entry to begin serious AI governance conversations. This group of AI-forward directors each knows directors and executives giving out mandates to their organizations about technology that they have little experience with." said Glenn.
Glenn chairs the board of directors of Pivot Fund and serves as audit and finance chair of LION. He writes about finance, AI and work at Jamaal's Letter on Substack.
